Fresh Garden Salsa
Fresh Garden Salsa
5 pounds of tomatoes
6 large jalapenos, whole
1 large onion
Juice from 7 limes
1 head of garlic
2 bunches of cilantro
1 tablespoon of cumin
1-2 tablespoons of Himalayan pink salt
Directions
- Wash all of the ingredients listed above.
- Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the stem and center (white part) of the tomato. Add to blender.
- Cut the stem/tops of jalapenos off and add the jalapenos to the blender.
- Quarter the onion in half and add to the blender.
- Roughly chop the cilantro and add it to the blender.
- Cut the limes in half and squeeze the juice into the blender.
- Separate and peal the garlic cloves, roughly chop the garlic. We love a lot of garlic, so if your not too big on garlic just do half of one head of garlic.
- Add cumin and Himalayan pink salt. Add more or less depending on your salt preference.
- Blend until all of the ingredients are blended to the consistency of your preference.
- Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours.
*** Note : Use a blender with a blade that goes from the bottom to the top, the blenders with the blades only at the bottom of the blender will make a soup.
Enjoy!
